Ramesh Marcandan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in workforce planning, recruitment, and talent management. Currently serving as a Senior Consultant at the Department for Education, Children and Young People since July 2024, Ramesh previously held the position of Talent Business Partner at Marinus Link from February 2023 to June 2024. Prior to that, Ramesh worked at the Department of Health, Tasmania, focusing on workforce planning and development as well as recruitment from March 2021 to February 2023. Ramesh began a career in recruitment as a Recruitment Consultant at Hays, specializing in healthcare and community services from January 2019 to March 2021. Earlier roles included Bids and Sales Executive and Admin and Market Research Officer at IFS Group Australia from May 2017 to May 2018. Ramesh holds a combined Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on Marketing, International Business, International Relations, and Criminology from the University of Tasmania, where studies spanned from 2008 to 2016.
