Kaitlyn Philpott

Kaitlyn Philpott, Esq. is a Senior Attorney at the Florida Department of Children and Families since January 2021, focusing on advocating for the interests of Florida’s children in dependency proceedings. Prior experience includes roles as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Florida International University - College of Law, where Kaitlyn contributed to courses in Fashion and Design, Trademarks, Property Law, and conducted research in Intellectual Property and Human Rights. Additional legal experience includes positions as a Senior Editorial Assistant at the African Journal of Legal Studies and various internships at the Florida Department of Children and Families and the Office of the State Attorney, enhancing skills in case discovery, trial preparation, and legal research. Kaitlyn holds a Doctor of Law degree from Florida International University - College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and English.
