Elaine Hsieh

Elaine Hsieh serves as the Senior Advisor to the Under Secretary for Infrastructure at the U.S. Department of Energy, focusing on mobilizing private sector investment in clean energy markets through significant federal funding initiatives. Prior to this role, Elaine was the Chief Marketing Officer and Principal at Third Derivative, where leadership efforts expanded a collaborative ecosystem for climate tech startups, and served as a founding Principal at Rocky Mountain Institute's accelerator program. Previous experience includes positions as a Marketing Consultant at Generate Capital, Program Director at GreenBiz Group, Global Business Strategist at DNV, and various leadership roles within the U.S. Green Building Council. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Engineering Management and a Bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University.
