Matthew Dove

Matthew Dove currently serves as the Assistant Inspector General for Audit at the U.S. Department of Energy, a position held since March 2024. Prior to this role, Matthew was the Assistant Inspector General for Audits & Inspections at the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction from June 2019 to March 2024. Matthew's extensive experience in audit and inspection roles also includes serving as the Director of Western Region Audits and Inspections at the Department of Energy Office of Inspector General, and various positions at SIGAR, including Director of Special Projects and Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Audits & Inspections. Before entering these roles, Matthew worked as a Defense Policy Analyst at the U.S. Government Accountability Office. Matthew holds a Master of Public Administration in Organizational Management from Strome College of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Bowling Green State University.
