Nathan Hernandez

Nathan Hernandez is a seasoned professional in international relations with extensive experience in energy policy and community health education. Currently serving as a Senior International Relations Specialist at the U.S. Department of Energy since February 2020, Nathan previously contributed as a Foreign Affairs Officer for the U.S. Department of State from June 2010 to February 2020, where notable achievements included receiving the Department’s Meritorious Award for substantial advancements in international energy initiatives. Nathan's early career includes a role as a Congressional & Public Affairs Intern at the Millennium Challenge Corporation and impactful work as a Community Health Extensionist with the Peace Corps. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Policy from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Chemistry from Virginia Tech.
