Taresa Lawrence

Taresa Lawrence is the Director of State, Local, and Tribal Policy at the U.S. Department of Energy, a position held since February 2022. Prior to this role, Taresa served as the Deputy Director of Energy Administration at the Department of Energy and Environment from August 2013 to February 2022 and as the Associate Director at the District Department of the Environment from November 2008 to August 2013. Taresa began a professional career as a Regulatory Economist at the Maryland Public Service Commission from February 2007 to November 2008. Taresa holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Economics from Howard University.
