Sarah Kavanagh serves as the Consul General of Ireland in Miami since September 2020, following an accomplished career in various governmental roles. Prior to this position, Sarah held the title of Deputy Director in the Human Rights Unit at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Additional experience includes serving as a Special Adviser for multiple departments including the Department of Justice and Equality and the Department of Children and Youth Affairs. Sarah also worked as a Senior Research & Policy Officer for Fine Gael and as a Parliamentary Assistant in the Oireachtas. Educational qualifications comprise a Barrister at Law degree and a Diploma in Legal Studies from The Honorable Society of King's Inns, as well as master's degrees in Political Communication and Politics from Dublin City University and University College Dublin, respectively.
