Stephen Garry has extensive experience in diplomatic roles at the Embassy of Ireland in London, currently serving as Head of the Irish Community Section since October 2016. Previous positions include First Secretary for Brexit and EU Affairs, Head of Events & Visits, and Deputy Director for Latin America and the Caribbean. Garry also held the position of Consul and Political Counsellor at the Embassy of Ireland in Mexico, along with various roles related to Brexit coordination and policy planning. Prior to diplomatic service, Garry worked in student representation and welfare coordination at academic institutions including UCLU and Queen Mary University of London Students' Union. Educationally, Garry holds a BA (Hons) in Psychology and Economics from Trinity College Dublin.
