Ashley Townsend

Ashley Townsend is an experienced policy adviser and regulatory analyst with a strong background in health, energy, and food safety. Currently serving as Principal Policy Adviser for the Victorian Department of Health since August 2021, Ashley has previously held roles such as Program Manager and Senior Regulatory Analyst at the Essential Services Commission and Principal Project Manager at the Victorian Department of Health. With a career that includes positions at the Department of Resources in Queensland and the Department of Energy and Water Supply, Ashley has extensive experience in project management, regulatory analysis, and stakeholder engagement. Ashley holds a Graduate Certificate in Government Policy Analysis from Griffith University.
