David Berenbaum

David Berenbaum currently serves as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Housing Counseling at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, a position held since December 2020. Prior to this role, David Berenbaum was the Chief Executive Officer of the Homeownership Preservation Foundation from September 2014 to July 2018 and held the position of Chief Program Officer at the National Community Reinvestment Coalition from November 2001 to August 2014. Earlier in the career, David Berenbaum served as the Executive Director of the Equal Rights Center and the Fair Housing Council of Greater Washington, as well as Long Island Housing Services, Inc., demonstrating a long-standing commitment to housing rights and community development.
