Majid Bassiri started as a GIS/Remote Sensing Technician at Spectrascan in 1992 before moving on to become a GIS and Web Developer at Geotrade. Later on, Majid worked as a Web/Data Developer at the Ministry of Housing, eventually becoming a Senior Applications Developer at DHW. This led to roles as an Application Architect at DHW and later on at the Department of Housing and Works. In 2008, Majid transitioned to a managerial role at the Department of Housing, where Majid oversaw teams in Applications Development, Business Intelligence, and Business Analysis. Currently, Majid holds the position of Director Digital and Technology Services at the Department of Local Government, Sport, and Cultural Industries.
