Matt Hayes has a extensive background in sports, recreation, and strategy and investment. With experience in various management roles in both government departments and educational institutions, Matt's expertise lies in human motor control, learning and development, and biomechanics. Matt holds a PhD in Motor Control, Learning and Development, along with a First Class Honours degree and a Bachelor's degree in Physical and Health Education. Currently, Matt serves as the Director of Strategy and Investment at the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, and also has experience as an Executive Director of Sport and Recreation. Additionally, Matt has held positions such as Manager at Woodman Point Recreation Camp and Operations Manager at Ern Halliday Recreation Camp.
