Andrew Bishop currently serves as the Director of Agriscience Consultancies Tasmania and the Australian Plant Biosecurity Science Foundation, while also holding the position of Chief Plant Protection Officer at the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania since August 2010. With extensive experience in plant biosecurity, Andrew has been instrumental in developing and maintaining Tasmania's plant biosecurity system and managing teams of policy analysts and scientists. Previous roles include Director at Landcare Tasmania, Chairperson of the Plant Health Committee, and Manager of the Biosecurity Policy Branch at the Department of Primary Industries and Water, Tasmania. Andrew's educational background includes a Master's degree in Agricultural Science from the University of Tasmania and a Graduate Certificate from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
