Ben Durham has over 20 years of work experience in the field of science and technology. Ben started their career in 1997 at the National Research Foundation, where they held the position of Manager for 2 research support programmes until 2003. In 2013, they joined the Department of Science and Technology as the Chief Director for Bio-innovation, a role they currently hold.
Ben Durham earned their M.Sc in Environmental Biology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 1995. Ben is currently pursuing their PhD in Technology commercialisation, which they started at DaVinci Institute in 2011 and is still in progress as of 2013.
