Shankha Subhra Sarkar is currently an Online Trainee at NASA, focusing on Applied Remote Sensing for Earth observation in humanitarian applications since April 2024. In parallel, Shankha is pursuing a PhD in collaboration with IIT Bombay under the Department of Science and Technology as well as serving as an Institute Teaching Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay since June 2022. Previously, Shankha held the position of Technical Secretary at Techfest, IIT Bombay from December 2022 to April 2024 and worked as a Subject Matter Expert at Chegg India from June 2019 to June 2020. Shankha holds a B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar, and is enrolled in a dual M.Tech and PhD program in Systems and Control Engineering at IIT Bombay, expected to be completed by July 2027. Educational background also includes higher secondary education from Howrah Vivekananda Institution and primary education from Mission Bodhoday International.
