Albert Degarmo

Albert DeGarmo is an accomplished Foreign Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State, managing a portfolio of over $30 million in foreign assistance across multiple priority countries. With a background as an International Relations Specialist at NOAA, DeGarmo has significant experience in policy analysis and negotiation, particularly in Southern Europe and Latin America. Notable achievements include being a 2015 Presidential Management Finalist and leading the development of the “Global Security Index” at the American Security Project. DeGarmo holds a Master's degree in Global Security, Politics, and Governance from American University and a BA in Political Science and Government from Texas State University, where time as Student Body President showcased leadership and strategic liaison skills.
