Kathleen A. Walker

Kathleen A. Walker, PhD, currently serves as Senior Director of the Lassa Vaccine Program in Emerging Infectious Diseases at IAVI since October 2022. Previously, Walker held the position of Director of Clinical Development for the Lassa Vaccine Program at INOVIO Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from November 2018 to October 2022. Other roles include Associate Director of Malaria Vaccine Clinical Operations at Sanaria Inc., Deputy Country Director for the Liberia NIH Ebola Program at Leidos, and Fulbright Research Scholar in Mozambique. Walker’s extensive experience in vaccine development and clinical operations includes positions at Accelovance, The Henry M. Jackson Foundation, and NeuroPace, among others. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Pharmacy from the University of Iowa, a Master's degree in Pharmacy from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Sociology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
