Kerry Porter

Kerry Porter is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public affairs and global communications, currently serving as the Director of the Office of Global Communications Strategy at the U.S. Department of State since March 2014. Porter's career at the Department includes various leadership roles, such as Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary and Deputy Director of the Office of International Media Engagement. Prior to this, Porter held positions at the Education Development Center and worked as a K-3 Literacy Tutor and Special Education Instructional Assistant. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in International Development Studies from The George Washington University and a Master of Arts in Written and Verbal Arts from Ulster University, in addition to a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and English from Alfred University.
