Leah Meyer

AI Policy Lead at U.S. Department of State

Leah Meyer has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as the AI Policy Lead at the U.S. Department of State since July 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as a Foreign Affairs Officer at the same department from August 2021 to July 2023. In 2018, they were a Research, Capacity Building, and Investigations Consultant at the Human Trafficking Intelligence Project. Leah also had experience as a Program and Policy Assistant at the National Center for Learning Disabilities and a House and Securities Manager at the Center for Women in Transition.

Leah Meyer has a Bachelor's of Arts degree from the University of Delaware, where they majored in History, Women's Studies, and Sociology with a concentration in Law and Society. Leah also holds a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree from George Mason University - Schar School of Policy and Government, with a focus on Applied Data Science and National Security Policy. In addition, they have obtained the certification of Certified ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance in February 2016.
