Olivia Ryder, Ph.D., is an accomplished atmospheric scientist with extensive experience in environmental research and science education. Currently serving as an Atmospheric Scientist and the Kids Making Sense Program Manager & Lead Scientist at Sonoma Technology, Inc. since February 2019, Olivia also holds a position as a Department of State Air Quality Fellow since May 2020. Previous roles include Staff Scientist and Education, Outreach, and Diversity Coordinator at the Center for Aerosol Impacts on Chemistry of the Environment from June 2017 to February 2019, and Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for Aerosol Impacts on Climate and the Environment at UC San Diego from July 2015 to June 2017. Olivia earned a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from UC San Diego, where significant research included studying heterogeneous reaction kinetics of N2O5 and the effects of marine-generated biological macromolecules on aerosol climate properties.
