Jennifer Ackerman

Jennifer Ackerman is a seasoned human capital executive with extensive experience in federal government roles. Currently serving as the Deputy Chief Human Capital Officer at the U.S. Department of the Interior since June 2019, Jennifer leads human capital initiatives for approximately 70,000 employees across diverse occupations and locations. Previous positions include Deputy Chief Human Capital Officer at the Peace Corps, Specialist Leader at Deloitte, and Director of Human Capital Policy at the U.S. Department of Energy. Additionally, Jennifer has held leadership roles within the Department of Defense, including Chief Human Capital Officer at the Defense Media Activity and Director of Talent and Succession Management. With an educational background that includes an MBA from Webster University and a leadership program at the Federal Executive Institute, Jennifer possesses a strong foundation in human capital management and policy development.
