Christian Joya

Christian Joya is an experienced basketball coach and official with a strong background in player development and scouting. Currently serving as the Freshman Men's Basketball Coach and Varsity Basketball Assistant Coach at DePaul College Prep, Christian contributed to the team's achievement as the 2024 IHSA 3A State Champions. Previously, Christian was the Director of Scouting and Video Operations for Varsity Men’s Basketball at Benet Academy, where responsibilities included detailed opponent analysis and team performance evaluation, leading to a top national ranking. As a Women's Basketball Student Manager at the University of Dayton, Christian supported practices and games, contributing to the team's Atlantic 10 Regular Season Championship and a March Madness appearance. Christian also has extensive experience as an IHSA-certified basketball official and has served as a scoreboard operator and camp instructor, focusing on youth development in the sport. Christian holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sport and Wellness from the University of Dayton.
