Courtney James

Courtney James serves as the Senior Director of Student Involvement & Cultural & Resource Centers at DePaul University, with previous roles including Director, Interim Director, and Assistant Director of Student Involvement. Courtney has been affiliated with DePaul Esports since 2018 as Director and has been appointed Chair of the Board of Directors for the National Association for Campus Activities for the term May 2024 to April 2025. Prior experience includes positions at the University of Central Oklahoma as Associate Director of Student Engagement for Campus Activities and Assistant Director of Campus Activities, where Courtney advised several student boards and chaired the Homecoming Steering Committee. Initial roles included Graduate Assistant at Western Illinois University and Summer Seminars Intern at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from DePaul University (2022-2026), a Master of Science in College Student Counseling and Personnel Services from Western Illinois University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English, Sociology, and Gender Studies from Augustana College.
