Fiker Yonathan Shimels

Fiker Yonathan Shimels currently serves as a Data Scientist in the President's office at DePaul University, where responsibilities include aiding in data-driven research projects, cleaning and preprocessing data, identifying trends, and developing predictive models to support university initiatives. Additionally, Fiker creates data visualizations and reports to effectively communicate complex insights and engages with influential stakeholders. Prior experience includes roles as a Student Assistant in Human Resources and an Office Assistant in the Office of Health Promotion and Wellness at DePaul University, as well as an Auditor at Litos PLC, where data tracking and analysis were key tasks. Fiker is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Data Science and a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Accounting at DePaul University, expected to graduate in June 2026.
