Joe Voigts

Joe Voigts is an experienced educator with a strong background in writing instruction and English language teaching. Currently serving as an International Writing Instructor at DePaul University, Voigts is involved in extending academic programs to international students, specifically focusing on intercultural communication and composition. Previous roles include English Language Specialist for the U.S. Department of State, where Voigts trained pre-service teachers across South Korea, Japan, and the Philippines. Voigts has also held positions as Senior Instructor of Writing and Composition at Asian University for Women, English Department Chair at the University of Chicago Charter School, and has extensive teaching experience in various international contexts. Voigts holds a Master's Degree in English Language and Literature from Portland State University and a Bachelor's Degree in the same field from Harding University.
