Scott Smith

Scott Smith is currently the VP of Information Technology, HIPAA & Cyber Security Officer at DePelchin Children's Center. Scott has previous experience working as an Assistant Dean for Information Technology at the University of Houston Law Center, where they led the information technology team and provided support to students, faculty, and staff. Scott was also the Information Technology Manager at Baylor College of Medicine and a Technical Analyst at Compaq. Prior to that, they were the Network Administrator at Group Millennium and a Systems Coordinator at Shanks, Tritter & Ledbetter. Scott has a wealth of experience in the IT field and is skilled in implementing innovative technologies and devising appropriate policies and solutions to meet project demands. Scott is also proficient in collaborating with college leadership and IT enterprise teams, monitoring performance standards, and recommending improvements to upgrade IT operations.

Scott Smith received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Houston and a Master of Science in Technology from the University of Texas at Tyler. Scott is also certified by ISACA as a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
