Carlos Asmat has over 13 years of work experience in the robotics and engineering fields. In 2007, they began as the "Main Geek" for Carlitos' Contraptions, where they documented electronic, mechanical, robotic, and DIY projects and hacks. In 2009, they worked as a Digital Design Engineer for CanSat International Inc. and as a Project Engineer for Panaxion. From 2010 to 2011, they were a Project Engineer & Robotics Specialist for RobotShop and a Robot Software Engineer for Aldebaran Robotics. In 2012, they co-founded and co-organized the Cloud Robotics Hackathon. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Lead Robotics Engineer for Piaggio Fast Forward. In 2019, they were a Lead Smart Systems Engineer for smoodi. Currently, they are a Software Engineering Lead for Dephy, Inc.
Carlos Asmat began their education in 1999 at École Internationale de Montréal, where they obtained their DESI in 2002. Carlos then attended CÉGÉP - André Laurendeau and obtained their IB Diploma in 2004. After that, Carlos attended McGill University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2008. In 2011, Carlos took two online classes at Stanford University, a Machine Learning Class and an Introduction to Artificial Intelligence. Finally, in 2013, Carlos took an online Gamification class at the University of Pennsylvania and obtained a Coursera Verified Certificate in Gamification.
