Cecilia De Araujo-Loriot

Cecilia De Araujo-Loriot has extensive work experience in the field of research and development, with a focus on biochemistry and molecular biology.

From September 2022 onwards, they have been working as an R&D Senior Scientist at Depixus. Before that, they spent seven years at Bertin Technologies from September 2015 to September 2022, where they held the role of Project Manager/R&D Scientist.

Cecilia also worked as a Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University from August 2011 to July 2015. During this time, their responsibilities included writing and submitting proposals, as well as coordinating awarded projects related to bioaugmentation, quorum sensing, and floc characterization.

Prior to that, they completed their PhD research training at UNIVERSITE D'AUVERGNE from October 2006 to September 2010. Their research focused on biofilm formation and involved molecular approaches and proteomic analysis. Additionally, they held a temporary post as an Assistant-Professor, where they provided tutorials and practical classes in biochemistry and molecular biology.

Cecilia's early career includes graduate research training at the French National Institute of Agricultural Research in 2006 and an internship followed by a contract as an engineer in research and development at Laiterie de Saint Denis de l'Hotel from September 2004 to June 2005.

In 2002, they gained experience in undergraduate research training at CIRAD.

Cecilia De Araujo-Loriot's education history begins in 1999 when they attended the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC) to pursue a Master's degree in Biotechnology and Food Industry. Cecilia studied at UTC until 2005.

In 2005, Cecilia proceeded to the Université Blaise Pascal (Clermont-II) - Clermont-Ferrand, where they obtained a Master's degree in Food Science and Technology. Cecilia completed their studies there in 2006.

Following their Master's degree, Cecilia joined the Université d'Auvergne in 2006. Cecilia pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Microbiology and completed their doctoral studies in 2010.
