Adam Yates has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Adam started their career in the United States Air Force, where they served as a Personnel Officer and Program Manager, responsible for HR functions and personnel management. After leaving the Air Force, Yates worked as an Operations Manager at Universal Hospital Services, leading medical equipment management and repair operations. Adam then transitioned to the Defense Logistics Agency, serving as a Management & Program Analyst, focused on process improvement and contract management. Yates then joined CertainTeed Corporation as a Health & Safety Manager and Team Coach, leading the Health & Safety function for a manufacturing facility. Following this, they worked at Western Governors University as a Faculty Member and Program Mentor for their undergraduate HR program. Yates then moved to Emerson Commercial & Residential Solutions, where they held the position of Human Resources Manager, providing HR services and leading safety compliance for manufacturing and distribution operations. Adam currently works as the Human Resources Director at Deployed Resources.

Adam Yates has a diverse education history. Adam obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in Construction Technology from the Community College of the Air Force between 1999 and 2007. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University, completing it between 2000 and 2002.

In 2003, Adam enrolled in Troy University and earned their Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management, which they completed in 2005. Continuing their educational journey, Adam pursued a Doctor of Business Administration degree with a field of study in Business Administration and Management, General at Walden University. Adam commenced this program in 2015 and is expected to complete it by 2018.

Additionally, Adam has obtained various certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. In 2014, they became a Senior Professional in Human Resources through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI). Adam obtained the SHRM Senior Certified Professional designation from SHRM in 2015. Most recently, in 2020, Adam acquired the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification from HRCI.
