Dejan Jovicevic

Dejan Jovicevic is a seasoned entrepreneur and legal professional with extensive experience in the startup and innovation sectors. As Co-Founder and CEO of "Der Brutkasten" since November 2014, Dejan has played a pivotal role in shaping the Austrian startup ecosystem through dedicated content creation for founders, corporates, and investors. In addition to leading "Der Brutkasten," Dejan is the CEO of StartingUp, overseeing its expansion into the DACH region. Dejan also contributes to academia as an external lecturer at FH Joanneum and FHWien der WKW, focusing on social entrepreneurship and media innovations. Dejan's involvement in various leadership roles includes serving as the Vice Chairman of the Austrian Press Council, as well as participating in innovation initiatives with Styria Media Group AG. Prior experience includes significant positions at Die Presse and DLA Piper Weiss-Tessbach Rechtsanwälte, with a strong foundation in legal studies from the University of Vienna.
