Chris Henning

Chris Henning is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public service and regeneration. Currently serving as a Board Director for the VDL/CDL Joint Venture at Derbyshire County Council since May 2021, Chris previously held the position of Executive Director Place at Nottingham City Council from May 2013 to May 2021, where various roles included Corporate Director for Development & Growth and Strategic Director for Economy. Additional experience includes being a Board Director at Blueprint Regeneration and a Governor at New College Nottingham, alongside a longstanding role as a Managing Consultant at PA Consulting Group. Chris's career began in the civil service as a fast stream civil servant at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills from 1995 to 2000. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Oxford and further education at the University of Birmingham from May 2022 to June 2023.
