Chris Slater BSc, LLM, MCIArb, currently serves as the Commercial Manager for Derbyshire County Council, providing Commercial and Contractual support to the Place Department since May 2021. Prior experience includes roles as a Freelance Quantity Surveyor with AMEY Utility Services and as a Contract Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor with UK Grid Solutions, focusing on major electrical substation projects. Chris has held senior positions with J. Murphy & Sons and on various contracts, including those with Carillion/Buckingham Joint Venture and Global Rail Construction. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Construction Law and Adjudication from Robert Gordon University and a B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying from Trent Polytechnic.
