Therese Avis Costello

Therese Avis Costello is a Senior Solicitor with extensive experience in various legal roles, currently leading the PI and debt team in litigation and governance at Derbyshire County Council since July 2018. Previous positions include Locum Employment and Education Solicitor roles, and Legal Clerk to the Independent School Appeals Panel at Bolton Council, where responsibilities involved addressing school admission appeals and exclusions. Therese has also served as an Employment Solicitor at Manchester City Council and worked as a Regional Solicitor for the NUT, focusing on employment and education law for union members. Early career experience included roles at Sefton MBC and Firth Whitehead / Chartbridge Solicitors. Therese holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Anglia Ruskin University, obtained in 1992.
