Prior to joining the firm, Matt honed his legal skills by representing social security disability claimants in obtaining benefits from the government, as well as working in the area of criminal defense and commercial transactional law.

Attorney Matt Finkelberg graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law where he graduated with a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution. While in law school, Matt was able to develop instrumental experience through USC’s Advanced Mediation Clinic and Family Law Mediation Clinic. Through these Clinics, Matt mediated disputes for the LA Superior Court, Edelman Children’s Court, CA Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Mediating custody battles and discrimination cases allowed Matt to understand the importance of empathizing and listening to each person so that he could appreciate their perspective, helping them achieve the greatest possible outcome in their case. Matt understands the importance of making a connection with his clients through this difficult time through compassion. He knows that each client deserves fairness, justice, and the best representation, which he will work endlessly to achieve.
