Shaun Fernando

Shaun Fernando has a diverse work experience spanning over 14 years. Shaun most recently served as the Chief Risk Officer & Head of Product Strategy at Deribit since April 2020. Before that, they held the position of Director, Head of Strategy at Acuiti.io from September 2019 to April 2020. Prior to this, Shaun worked at Sonovate Consulting for 5 years as a Strategy and Consulting professional from April 2014 to August 2019. Shaun also worked at IMC financial markets & asset management as the Head of Desk from November 2008 to April 2014. Shaun's earlier experiences include positions at Royal Bank of Scotland as Strategy & Business Management personnel in 2007, HSBC as a Derivative Quantitative Analyst in 2006, and Royal Bank of Scotland as a Corporate Business Development Intern in 2006.

Shaun Fernando has a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Nottingham, which they obtained between the years 2003 and 2008. Prior to that, they attended Dr. Challoner's Grammar School from 1997 to 2003, and Colombo International School from 1994 to 1997. Additionally, Shaun has obtained certifications in Agile Project Management Foundation & Practitioner from APMG-International in November 2014, and in Manager Development Program from the Center for Creative Leadership in February 2013.
