Carl Whiteside

Carl Whiteside currently serves as Vice President of Design and Group Head at Deriv, overseeing multiple teams including Product Design, Creative & Brand, UX & Research, and CRO & Retention since August 2023. Prior to this role, Carl held the position of Vice President of Design at Banque Saudi Fransi from December 2019 to July 2023, where Carl established the bank's first internal design department and created a multi-functional design team. Earlier experience includes leading design initiatives at Commercial Bank of Dubai, where Carl re-designed the bank's omni-channel user experiences, and as a Senior UX Designer at BankCLEARLY, contributing to the development of a fintech mobile banking application. Carl began their career as Creative Director at Waxxx Events, where Carl honed creative and leadership skills in a dynamic environment.
