Ceri Jamieson

Ceri Jamieson has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. They started their career in 2013 at EY, where they worked as an Assurance Intern, Staff, and Senior. During this time, they gained experience in audits of privately held and listed companies and ensured compliance with reporting standards. They also developed an interest in data analytics for audits. In 2016, Ceri had a two-month secondment to the Data Analytics team at EY, where they gained experience in delivering analytics suites and developing bespoke analytics tools for audits. In 2017, Ceri became an Assurance Senior/Manager at EY, primarily focusing on audits of Hedge Funds and Private Equity, and implemented automated workflows using excel macros and Alteryx. In 2021, Ceri joined the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority as a Chief Analyst, where they planned and led on-site inspections and developed automated tools to improve internal working efficiencies. Currently, Ceri works at Deriv as a Senior Regulatory Compliance Executive, Director.

Ceri Jamieson's education history includes obtaining an ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) qualification from the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed a BSc in Mathematics with Finance at the University of Plymouth from 2011 to 2014. Ceri also studied Level 1 Mathematics at The Open University from 2010 to 2011, and received an FdSc (Foundation Degree in Science) in Multimedia from The University of Huddersfield from 2009 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Ceri has obtained various certifications, including a Six Sigma White Belt certification from the Aveta Business Institute in 2022, a Rescue Diver certification from PADI in 2020, a Certificate of Membership from the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants in 2019, and an ACA qualification from ICAEW in 2018.
