Thomas Kanewske has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Thomas began their career in 2004 as a Fighter Pilot and Chief Instructor and Evaluator in the US Air Force, where they gained valuable experience working with coalition air and ground forces. Thomas then transitioned to the role of Foreign Military Sales (Weapons SME) at the Pentagon, where they were responsible for capturing billion dollar contracts in support of the US defense industry.

In 2014, Thomas joined Northrop Grumman Corporation as a Business Development Manager, showcasing their expertise in weaving corporate interests, US foreign policy, and technology release concerns into a salient export path for low observable and counter low observable technology.

In 2015, Thomas moved to Derive Systems, where they held various leadership positions, including Senior Director and Vice President of Business Development. During their tenure, they played a key role in growing Derive Efficiency by over 120% year-over-year, resulting in millions of dollars in fuel savings for enterprise-level fleets.

Most recently, Thomas served in the United States Air Force as the Chief of the 113 WG APO and the Director of Operations. In these roles, they demonstrated their strategic leadership capabilities and oversaw various operational aspects.

Throughout their career, Thomas Kanewske has consistently showcased their abilities to deliver game-changing technology, build strategic partnerships, and achieve significant cost savings.

Thomas Kanewske earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering with a focus on the Civil subset from the United States Air Force Academy, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Thomas later pursued a Master of International Public Policy degree in Negotiation and International Development from The Johns Hopkins University - Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) between 2013 and 2014. In addition to their academic achievements, Kanewske has obtained certifications as an Air Transport Pilot and an Aviation Instructor from the FAA and USAF. Thomas also holds a TS/SCI certification, although the institution from which they obtained it is not specified.
