Tyler Carrico

Tyler Carrico is a seasoned investment professional currently serving as Managing Partner at Derive Ventures since September 2021, focusing on early-stage venture capital investments in the Travel, Hospitality, and Leisure sectors. Prior to this role, Carrico was a Partner at Thayer Ventures from February 2018 and held the position of Vice President at Thayer Ventures Acquisition Corporation from December 2020 to January 2022. Earlier experience includes serving as an Investment Banking Analyst in TMT at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from June 2015 to May 2018. Carrico began a connection with the University of Virginia in 2012 as a varsity baseball player, ultimately earning a BS in Commerce from the UVA McIntire School of Commerce, with concentrations in Finance and Management, focusing on Real Estate and Global Commerce Tracks.
