Vatsal Kansara

Vatsal Kansara is a skilled software engineer specializing in computer vision, currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Derq since August 2018, focusing on developing AI-driven traffic safety and analytics applications for smart cities. Prior experience includes co-heading the Mahindra Rise Driverless Car Challenge at Unmesh Mashruwala Innovation Cell, where Vatsal created a simulation model for a steering car and ideated computer vision algorithms. Vatsal also achieved first place at the Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition by developing an award-winning autonomous vehicle. Earlier experience includes a software engineering role at GE Aviation, where Vatsal worked on applications for extracting product manufacturing information from 2D CAD drawings. Vatsal holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and is pursuing a Master's in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
