Cathy Burns has extensive experience in climate management and visitor services, currently serving as the Climate Programme Manager at Derry City & Strabane District Council since July 2014. Previous roles include Visitor Services Officer and Visitor Experience Consultant for the National Trust, Project Manager at Lagan Valley Regional Park, Manager at Lagan Canal Restoration Trust, Curator of Irish Folklife at the National Museum of Ireland, and Assistant Keeper of Interpretation at Beamish Museum. Cathy holds a Post Graduate in Climate Change Management from The University of Edinburgh, a Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Management & Leadership from Southern Regional College, a Master of Arts in Heritage Interpretation & Education from Newcastle University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Irish History & Politics from Ulster University.
