Casey Maday currently serves as Acting Second Trombone for the Sarasota Orchestra and has held the position of Principal Trombone at the Des Moines Symphony and Academy since September 2011. In addition to performance, Maday is involved in education as an Adjunct Professor of Trombone at the University of North Florida and teaches trombone lessons and coaches at Des Moines Symphony and Academy. Other notable positions include Principal Trombone at Orchestra Iowa and the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony, and teaching roles at Drake University and Grinnell College. Maday holds a Master's degree in Trombone Performance from DePaul University and a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from Northern Illinois University.
