Edern Le Roux

Edern Le Roux is currently the Head of ILS and Cat Modeling at Descartes Underwriting since March 2019. Prior to this role, Edern held positions such as Member of the Board of Examiners at the Institut des Actuaires and Co-Founder and CEO at KO KITS. Edern has a background in risk management, catastrophe modeling, and reinsurance analysis from their time at SCOR Investment Partners SE and AXA. With a strong foundation in actuarial science and statistics from Institut de Statistique de l'Université de Paris - ISUP, Edern has also taught Risk Theory at Ensae ParisTech. Their expertise extends to developing catastrophe models and pricing methodologies within the insurance industry.
