Tahar Allouche

Tahar Allouche is a Senior Software Engineer at Descartes Underwriting since January 2023, specializing in the development and optimization of code for wildfire risk prediction and pricing using Python's scientific stack. Prior experience includes serving as an AI Researcher PhD Candidate at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique from April 2020 to December 2022, where Tahar developed methods for crowdsourcing aggregation, privacy-focused data labeling, and collaborated on projects involving preference data analysis and bi-clustering algorithms. Additionally, experience as a Research Intern included the creation of a resource allocation protocol utilizing linear optimization and information fusion. A Summer Engineering Intern at Société Tunisienne des Industries de Raffinage, Tahar performed quality control for crude oil processing products. Tahar holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from Université Paris Dauphine - PSL and an Engineer's degree in Mathematical Engineering from ENSTA, complemented by a Master's degree in Optimization from the Institut Polytechnique de Paris.
