Jana Cain

Jana Cain, CPA, currently serves as the Controller for Deschutes County, where responsibilities include supervising accounting, payroll, and financial reporting teams, managing the annual audit, and preparing the county's annual financials. Previously, Jana held positions as Audit Manager at Kernutt Stokes LLP, CPA at SGA Certified Public Accountants & Consultants, Audit Senior at Kernutt Stokes LLP, and Associate in Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance Services at KPMG. Additional experience includes internships in internal audit at Crosstex Energy, Belo, and the City of Plano. Jana has also contributed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Dallas. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Information Systems and a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Internal Audit and Supply Chain Management, both from The University of Texas at Dallas.
