Mark Hovey

Mark Hovey serves as the Information Technologies Manager at Deschutes Public Library since April 2007, providing leadership and management for the IT department while overseeing technology functions that align with organizational goals. In addition to this role, Mark has been an IT Manager and Network and System Administrator at Deschutes Public Library System since November 2001, focusing on designing, implementing, and maintaining server and network systems. Previous experience includes working as a Network and System Administrator at Bend Broadband, where Mark contributed to the deployment of Internet access services, and at Integrated Data Systems / Computerland, with a focus on Novell Netware systems. Mark’s early career includes significant service in the United States Navy, where roles included Master Training Specialist and Submarine Sonar Supervisor.
