Brian Hoopes

Brian Hoopes has diverse work experience in various technology roles. Brian worked at Deseret Digital Media as a Sr. Web Developer, where they implemented Solr and led the redesign of KSL.com Classifieds. Later, they became the Sr. Director of Engineering - Marketplace, overseeing the development of marketplace products and preventing fraudulent activities. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Information Security Officer at the same company. Prior to this, Brian worked at Bonneville International, where they served as the Director of Internet Technology, leading the migration of the entire company to a single common CMS. Brian also provided training and support for developers. Additionally, Brian worked at Salt Lake School District as a Technical Support, where they assisted with technology needs, reported data for grants, and converted databases to web-based platforms.

Brian Hoopes has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Weber State University, which they obtained between 2003 and 2005. Prior to that, they attended Salt Lake Community College from 2001 to 2002, where they earned an Associate's degree in Computer Information Systems.
