Illustrator and Graphic Designer at Design Bundles

Jo Rymell has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. They began their career in 1986 at Bristol City Council as a Town & Country Planning Technician, where they focused on cartography, graphic design, and technical support for town planning teams. In 1995, they transitioned to the role of Senior Graphic and Extranet Designer, responsible for designing visual solutions for public information materials and managing design projects.

In 2006, Jo Rymell moved to Sir Bernard Lovell School as an Online Learning Centre Manager. They were in charge of managing the web authoring team, designing learning materials, and leading e-learning initiatives. They also collaborated with outside agencies and local businesses on projects and provided e-learning training to staff.

From 2014 onwards, Jo Rymell worked as a Freelance Illustrator and Surface Pattern Designer both independently and through their own business, Hot Hibiscus. Their work primarily involved creating illustrations and surface patterns for various clients. In 2018, they joined Design Bundles as an Illustrator and Graphic Designer, further utilizing their creative skills.

Jo Rymell's education history is as follows:

Jo Rymell attended Hartcliffe Comprehensive School from 1979 to 1984, where they completed their high school education with a focus on humanities, biology, art, mathematics, English language, and English literature.

In 1986 to 1988, Jo Rymell studied at the University of the West of England and obtained a BTEC HNC in Land Use (Town and Country Planning), specializing in city/urban, community, and regional planning.

In 1984 to 1985, Jo Rymell attended Soundwell Technical College and completed an O Level in Graphic Design and another O Level in Geometrical Engineering Technical Drawing. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate in Interior Design and Display Techniques during the same period.

Jo Rymell pursued further education at City of Bristol College from 1990 to 1991, focusing on A Level Art and Design.

In 1994 to 1995, Jo Rymell studied British Sign Language at the University of Bristol, completing the CACDP British Sign Language (BSL) – Level 1 course.

Continuing their interest in British Sign Language, Jo Rymell attended City of Bristol College from 1995 to 1997 and achieved the CACDP British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 qualification.

In 2001, Jo Rymell obtained a Global Communications (Web Design) Certificate (OCR) from City Netgates Bristol, specializing in web page, digital/multimedia, and information resources design.

In 2006, Jo Rymell completed the Web Entrepreneur Telematics NCFE Level 2 Certificate at City of Bath College, focusing on internet information literacy and ICT skills.

Later, in 2011 to 2013, Jo Rymell pursued their interest in foods, nutrition, and wellness studies at Stonebridge Associated College. They completed the Clinical Nutrition Diploma Level 4 and obtained the NCFE Level 4 Clinical Nutrition Award Certificate.

Lastly, in 2009 to 2010, Jo Rymell attended the National Design Academy (NDA) and obtained a Professional Interior Design, Perspective Drawing & Decorative Paint Finishes Diploma Level 3, specializing in interior design.
