Aileen Dempsey

Aileen Dempsey is a seasoned professional in design management and leadership development, currently serving in the role of CPD / Learning & Development at Engineers Ireland since 2024. Dempsey also holds the position of Advisory Council Member at the Design Management Institute, contributing to a global community of design and innovation leaders since 2017. Previously, Dempsey worked as a Design Management and Leadership Consultant and Coach at PARK from 2022 to 2024, and served as the Executive Director of Design Skillnet from 2016 to 2021, where significant enterprise-led education initiatives were established for design professionals. Additional experience includes founding the Plato Creative Industries network and mentorship roles at the Dublin City Enterprise Board and Local Enterprise Office Dublin. Dempsey's earlier career involved leadership in design and new product development at Styletex Limited. Academic credentials include an MBA in Design Management from the University of Westminster and various professional certifications in Circular Economy, Executive Coaching, and a B Ed Hons from Trinity College Dublin.
