Michael Amadeo

Michael Amadeo has a strong background in research and drug discovery. Michael currently works as a Senior Research Associate at Design Therapeutics, a position they have held since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Ferring Pharmaceuticals as an Associate Scientist from February 2019 to May 2023. At Ferring Pharmaceuticals, they were involved in designing and automating in vitro assays, developing biochemical and cellular assays, and validating gene expression using CRISPR KO cell lines. Michael also automated biochemical and cellular assays for high throughput screening and acquired assay data. Before joining Ferring Pharmaceuticals, Michael worked as a Research Intern at The Scripps Research Institute from September 2016 to January 2019. Michael also served as a Masters Student at the University of California San Diego from June 2017 to December 2018.

Michael Amadeo obtained their Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from UC San Diego in 2017. After that, they pursued a Master's degree in Biology, General at the same institution, from 2017 to 2018.
